Procreate Brush Downloads: Freebies and Import Guide

Last updated on: October 11, 2026

Looking for free Procreate brushes? Browse this collection by painting style, from watercolor and pencil to lettering, textures and stamps. Each resource keeps its preview and source link, so you can compare the look before downloading. Creator pages may offer a free sample alongside a paid pack, require an email address, or change their terms; check the current download and licence on the linked page.

Choose a brush by what you want to draw

Sketches and line art: start with the pencil, ink and liner sections; compare stroke texture and taper in the previews.
Painted illustrations: browse watercolor, gouache and paint sections for different edges and surface effects.
Lettering: use the lettering section and check the creator’s pressure and compatibility notes.
Repeated details: stamps, foliage, clouds and texture packs can add shapes or surfaces; check scale and permitted use before including them in client work.

How to import brushes into Procreate

Download the brush file to the Files app on your iPad. If supplied as a ZIP, extract it first.
Open Procreate’s Brush Library, use the menu button at the top right, then choose Import from Files and select the brush file.
A single brush appears in the Imported folder; a brush set appears at the top of the library.

Procreate’s official import guide covers .brush, .brushset, .brushlibrary and Photoshop .abr files, plus importing directly from Files. Check the creator’s app-version requirements when a download does not import.

The previews below show the collection’s individual styles, rather than a claim that every pack has been tested on an iPad. For a separate writing task accompanying a creative project, DoMyEssay writing service is another linked resource; it is not a brush download.

Watercolor Brushes

For a small watercolor starter set, compare Mini Watercolor Experience’s three brushes and textured canvas with Crayon Arcade’s four samples. Lake Waters adds a palette and a blending suggestion. For splashes, Aqua Splash has 10 brushes but asks for email access. The notes below distinguish creator-listed free samples, personal-only licences and unverified older downloads. These are source-based comparisons, not an iPad painting test.

Stamp Procreate Brushes

Pixelbuddha describes 57 watercolor stamp brushes in two styles, supplied for Photoshop and Procreate. Choose this pack for placing painted marks rather than drawing a continuous stroke. Check the publisher’s selected licence and current download requirements before using it in a client project.

BrushUp Procreate Brushes

The linked iPad Calligraphy article describes six BrushUp samples within a wider 18-brush giveaway from three artists. BrushUp’s Watercolor Build-up and Watercolor Bleed are the relevant watercolor examples. The article is an older giveaway; confirm its download access and licence rather than assuming all 18 brushes belong to this pack.

Botanical Dynamic Brushes for Procreate

The publisher lists 30 dynamic plant, branch and leaf brushes that respond to pressure and drawing direction. This is a botanical drawing set rather than a watercolor stamp pack. The current free option is a personal licence; the extended licence is offered through Pixelbuddha Pro. Check the terms for commercial work.

Aqua Splash Watercolor Brushes

Paperlike’s Aqua Splash collection contains 10 brushes made by Disha Sharma from watercolor splashes. It suits adding splash-shaped details to an illustration or background. Access goes through the Paperlike Library and asks for an email address; free access does not itself establish commercial permission.

Soft Watercolour Background Brushes

Okinomochii describes 18 soft brushes made for watercolor-like background texture. The creator’s listing displays a zero-plus, pay-what-you-want offer. Consider this set for subtle background marks; check the amount shown at checkout and the permitted use before downloading.

Aurora Watercolor Procreate Brushes

Aurora contains 45 Procreate brushes, with swashes and smudges intended for washed backgrounds and decorative compositions. Pixelbuddha lists BRUSHSET and PDF files. Its current free choice is a personal licence; the extended licence is a Pro option, so check that distinction before preparing client artwork.

Watercolor Procreate Brushes Collection

Crayon Arcade offers four free sample brushes from a larger watercolor collection. This is a small starting set for comparing the creator’s painting style before considering the full pack. The listing displays a zero-plus price and explicitly mentions personal illustrations and client work; retain the current usage terms with your download.

Watercolor Brush Pack

This brush-directory entry points to a watercolor pack by BasicX and links onward to Procreate Folio. Follow that creator link for the original files and instructions. The directory listing alone does not verify the current file contents or commercial licence.

Watercolor Brushes for Procreate

Anastasia’s Gumroad listing describes 15 Procreate brushes and displays a zero-plus price. It provides a watercolor collection rather than a single brush. The short description does not establish a commercial licence or detailed version requirements; check those before using the download for a paid project.

Wet Media Brushes

Matthew Baldwin’s Splash Volume 1 contains 48 wet-media brushes in a ZIP, with individual brush downloads and example images also described by the creator. The listing displays a zero-plus price and welcomes donations. Choose it for a broader wet-media collection; commercial permission still needs checking.

Lake Waters Watercolor Brushes

Lake Waters includes three Procreate brushes and one color palette. The creator suggests using its rectangular brush as a smudge tool when blending, which gives the set a specific role for painted water and soft transitions. Its listing displays a zero-plus price; commercial terms are not stated in the description checked.

Haze Long Procreate Watercolor Brush

Haze Long separates a free option containing 10 brushes and a PDF guide from paid Basic and Premium options. Select the free version if that is the download you need. Extra brushes, textures, palettes and coloring pages belong to the paid tiers; they are not all included with the free sample.

Aqua Brush Pack for Procreate

The original Aqua link now leads to Frankentoon’s general Procreate brush catalogue. We could not confirm the original Aqua pack or a current free download there. Keep this preview as a reference, and use one of the clearly described creator offers in this section when you need a confirmed listing.

Abbie’s Watercolour Brushes

Abbie Nurse’s original Procreate discussion describes five watercolor brushes and links to a Dropbox folder. It is an older community release, with an update mentioned for 2017. Read the creator’s discussion for the files and instructions; current download availability and commercial permission need confirming.

Procreate Watercolor Brush Set

This entry links to a third-party download listing. The original creator, current file access and licence could not be verified in this review, so it is retained as a reference rather than a recommended free download. Prefer a creator-hosted listing when you need clear permission to use the brushes.

Watercolor Brushes for Procreate

This preview uses the same download destination as the Procreate Watercolor Brush Set entry above. It does not establish a separate brush pack. The creator and licence remain unverified; use the confirmed creator listings in this section when choosing a download.

The Watercolor Experience Mini Brush Set for Procreate

Ittai Manero’s Mini Watercolor Experience includes three brushes and a pretextured Procreate canvas. The creator specifies Procreate 5 or later and offers the mini set at a zero-plus price. It is a compact way to explore the brush-and-paper approach; the full collection is separate.

Watercolor Landscape Painting Bundle

Tatyworks supplies a brush set and color palette for the linked watercolor landscape tutorial. The listing displays a zero-plus price. Choose it when following that specific lesson; the creator’s newer full brush collection is offered separately, and no brush count or commercial licence is assumed here.

Watercolour Ink Brush

Olguioo’s free sample is one watercolor ink brush, supplied in Procreate and Photoshop versions. The creator describes pressure-sensitive texture and explicitly permits commercial use. Choose the format for your app; the listed Clip Studio import option may respond differently from the original versions.

Free Watercolour Brushes for Procreate

Julia’s creator listing offers 24 watercolor brushes at a zero-plus price. It gives a larger collection to browse than the three- or four-brush samples above. The description checked does not state a commercial licence, so confirm permission before using it in client work.
